STORIES
I absolutely adore that Anglo-French company! They have been my lifeline on multiple occasions during my working career. Let me tell you about the three times they helped me:
Firstly, when I relocated to London in 2012, I was completely lost and had no idea what to expect. However, my first interview with this company was a turning point for me. I fell in love with the kind, passionate, and talented people I met. They not only taught me about the English culture but also showed me the most amazing technique to create an outstanding digital animation. I was hungry for knowledge, and they fed my curiosity.
Secondly, after the painful closure of my first StartUp in 2016, Container 21, which was founded inside an actual shipping container number 21 next to the canals of London Fields, I was completely broken. After two years of fighting the harsh reality of running a business, with my friend&partner we decided that we had enough. However, Nexus, picked me up from the dust and gave me a chance to bounce back.
Lastly, in 2020, I decided to come back to my roots. However, the pandemic hit, and I was suddenly facing a crisis. But, thanks to this remote collaboration, I worked on the most beautiful frames of my life.
#NEXUS
For two years, I worked at the heart of the London headquarters of this amazing construction company. I was responsible for leading the R&D developments, especially in the field of virtual and augmented reality tools. It was an exhilarating experience to apply my knowledge and passion to awesome projects and innovative ideas, and to contribute to the company's digital transformation.
During my tenure, I truly felt like I was part of this amazing organization. I put my best foot forward to steer this massive ship in a digital direction. It was a thrilling experience to grow professionally and personally within this French-rooted company. I am deeply grateful for the trust and opportunity they gave me, and I will always cherish my time there.
#BOUYGUES UK
This is where my career began. I was only 19 years old, an enthusiastic kid with big dreams and an infinite passion for 3D. Despite my age, the owner of the company trusted me from the first day and I led the transition from 2D drawings to 3D modeling pioneering the BIM adoption. It was an exciting time, and before I left the company in 2009, I was testing the Vusix VR 920 an early virtual reality headset. Looking back I knew that this was the direction in which the world was headed.
Over the years, I collaborated with the company on various projects, always implementing the latest technologies from the immersive theater, mobile virtual reality systems to holographic displays.
#STI ENGINEERING
This is where I had my first taste of a 3D production, I quickly connected with the two founders, who were architects with an amazing eye for detail. They were true masters of a piece of software that I had fallen in love with as a kid, and still adore today: 3DSMax.
It was a dream come true to work with people who shared my passion for this digital tool. I was able to learn so many aspects about making a beautiful image, They taught me how to approach each project with attention to detail, how to use light and shadow to create depth and how to refine my techniques to achieve the best possible result.
Working with these talented individuals was truly inspiring. I felt so fortunate to be surrounded by people who were not only passionate about what they did, but also incredibly talented at it. They pushed me to be my best self and to strive for excellence in every aspect of my work.
